About Keller Varsity Bass Team
Who We Are
The Keller Varsity Bass Team is a high school sports team associated with the Texas High School Bass Association- Metroplex Division (THSBA) that is dedicated to competitive bass fishing. Our team of passionate anglers- which consist of students representing all of the high schools within
Keller Independent School District (KISD), as well as, students representing Birdville ISD and Carroll ISD-
compete in tournaments and events, honing their skills and representing our schools with pride.
We provide a supportive environment for students to develop their fishing abilities, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The Keller Varsity Bass Team was founded in early 2015 and we have been fishing at the top of our game ever since.
The Keller Varsity Bass Team has been the THSBA West division School of the Year champion for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons, along as the THSBA Metroplex Champion for the 2022-2023 season. That means that our anglers consistently fished better than the other schools in our division,
and that's a proud accomplishment that each of our anglers can claim on their fishing resume.
Our Anglers
We are proud to be a part of the Metroplex bass fishing community. Our anglers are students who attend and represent Keller ISD (Central High School, Fossil Ridge High School, Keller High School, and Timber Creek High School), as well as neighboring school districts like Birdville ISD and Carroll ISD.

What is THSBA?
It is the goal of the Texas High School Bass Association to provide a venue where high school students have the opportunity to compete in organized tournaments while establishing strict guide lines and academic standards that will allow our student anglers to excel in the class room and on the lake
Guaranteed Scholarships for all 9 Divisions $4,000 at Every Regular Season Tournament $5,000 to the top 3 Places in Angler of the year $12,000 + at each Regional Tournament $40,000 + at the State Tournament Lew’s / Strike King and Academy Gift cards for top placing teams at all tournaments. Academy Angler of the Year Championship will have over $5000.00 in Gift Cards. Looking forward to another great year of High School Fishing in Texas.
